I have been attending classes at Fitness Yoga for about 4 years. I have always felt comfortable in all classes. Angela and Madyson are very knowledgeable in the art of Yoga. They are caring and take time to teach poses correctly for the best experience and to avoid injury. There is no competition as everything is at your own pace. You learn to assess your body at every class and to honor wherever you are for that day. I am learning that Yoga is so much more than physical poses. It is also a mindful art for relaxation. I have been a member of the Fitness Yoga studio for over 10 years. Prior to my involvement with Fitness Yoga, I had a history of back problems. Since I have been practicing yoga, these problems have virtually disappeared. I love the non-judgmental nature of the instruction at this studio. You are instructed in the proper breathing and position techniques and encouraged to push yourself to whatever your level is for that day. One expression the instructor uses is "what doesn't challenge you doesn't CHANGE you", which I have found to be true. I have always felt relaxed and refreshed after these sessions. I highly recommend Fitness Yoga to anyone seeking balance in their busy, stressful lives.

I started taking yoga on the recommendation from my physical therapist where I was undergoing treatment for a frozen shoulder. I chose Fitness Yoga on a friend's advice and I never looked back. Angela's senior chair class was a perfect fit and I find that it does wonders. My core strength is better as is my flexibility as I age.

I can’t imagine life without Fitness Yoga! I take a variety of the offered classes, including those that teach the basics, those that are focused more on conditioning, as well as yoga itself. My wife and I have been students of Ms. Cassada's yoga studio since early 2017. We are active senior citizens. Her wide and varied classes are tailored to meet any specific needs of her students. From my perspective, I have learned that our bodies as we age need the fluidity that movement provides, and after a class session, she never disappoints in that area. Angela has extensive knowledge in the practice of yoga. One of her expressions she uses that we can all relate to is "No judgment, competition or expectation," which gives one the sense of being at ease. Needless to say, I am not going anywhere else.

I am very close to 70 and have a few medical issues I knew yoga would be beneficial for. I had a hip replacement almost 2 years ago and had done the rehab exercises for that and could walk and do a lot but it was still very tight. I started the Senior Chair Yoga class. After a short time I could sit cross legged for the first time since surgery. I also have stenosis and all of the neck stretches feel so good. Great class, wonderful instructor.

Yoga classes are the highlight of my week. I always look forward to seeing the dynamic mother-daughter duo that is Fitness Yoga. The wide variety of classes are always challenging and rewarding, but it's Angela, Madyson and my fellow yogis that make them fun. Both instructors emphasize safety too. They are experts at offering modifications and cuing to help me focus as I transition from one pose to another. "Yoga for every body" isn't just a tagline; it's the truth. I sincerely believe that Fitness Yoga has helped me build strength and maintain balance and flexibility as I age. I love practicing yoga with such a nonjudgmental group of people with whom I've made lifelong friends. I'm so glad I joined this studio 10+ years ago!
